From Asheville, North Carolina (approx. 2.5 hours): Take I-40 west to exit number 27 and onto Hwy 74 west. Take Hwy 74 west toward Murphy, NC where it merges with Hwy 64. Follow Hwy 64/74 west of Murphy, NC to Hwy 294 and follow the signs to Hiwassee Dam and Bear Paw.
From Atlanta, Georgia (approx. 2 hours): Take I-575 north continuing on Hwy 5 to Blue Ridge, GA. where it merges with Hwy 76. Follow Hwy 76 east about 4 miles to Hwy 60 north. Take Hwy 60 and then Spur 60 toward Murphy to Hwy 64/74. Take Hwy 64/74 west to Hwy 294 and follow signs to Hiwassee Dam and Bear Paw.
From Chattanooga, Tennessee (approx. 1.5 hours): Take I-75 north to exit number 20 toward Cleveland, TN and Hwy 64 east. Take Hwy 64 east to Copperhill, TN. Turn onto Hwy 68 north. Follow Hwy 68 to fork with Hwy 123, staying right on Hwy 123 following signs to Hiwassee Dam and Bear Paw.
From Knoxville, Tennessee (approx. 2.5 hours): Take I-75 south to exit number 60 toward Sweetwater, TN and onto Hwy 68 south. Follow Hwy 68 until it merges with Hwy 123, turn left onto Hwy 123 following signs to Hiwassee Dam and Bear Paw.
